Lawrence Cemetery-Chemung Road

The Lawrence Cemetery (Meredith tax map coordinates R14-63) is located approximately 200' from the west edge of Chemung Road on the boundary line separating Lots 50 & 52. This cemetery is 33' x 66' in size and is surrounded by granite fieldstone walls with no gate opening. The Lawrence Cemetery has only one standing gravestone and a military service marker. The one known, marked burial within this cemetery is that of John L. Lawrence who served during the Civil Was in Co. I, 12th N.H.V. (This information was obtained from the Town of Meredith.)
